Differential pressure sensor: measuring restriction
The differential pressure sensor compares exhaust pressure before and after the DPF.
As soot builds up, pressure increases.
The ECU uses this information to calculate how blocked the filter is.
- Low pressure means good exhaust flow
- Rising pressure suggests soot accumulation
- Very high readings indicate a blocked DPF
